This is a 1950s distinctive insignia or the United States 229th Field Artillery Regiment by Gemsco. The DI shows a Norman castle with a keyhole for a doorway against the backdrop of a golden chevron with a red fleur-de-lis above. The DI reads SPIRIT SPEED AND STAMINA.
VINTAGE:Circa 1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/16" in height 1-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:GEMSCO A.G.O. G-2.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The DI shows only very light wear to the front with some abrasions on the reverse only.
