ARTIFACT: This is a 1950s distinctive insignia or the United States 229th Field Artillery Regiment by Gemsco. The DI shows a Norman castle with a keyhole for a doorway against the backdrop of a golden chevron with a red fleur-de-lis above. The DI reads SPIRIT SPEED AND STAMINA.

VINTAGE: Circa 1950s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/16" in height 1-1/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: GEMSCO A.G.O. G-2.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months LBDX11/11 SBDX7/12

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The DI shows only very light wear to the front with some abrasions on the reverse only.
