This is a circa 1950s collar badge for the Gulf and South American Steamship Lines. The line operated from 1947 until 1971, and was a joint venture by the Grace Line and Lykes Brothers. The badge is by Gemsco and is enameled in green and white with a diamond at the center reading GSA.
VINTAGE:Circa 1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 1" in height and 1" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post with disc backing, stabilization post.
MARKINGS:GEMSCO AGO G-2.

CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The badge shows very little wear; all enamel is intact.
