Description
This is a 1950s framed promotional print for the USS United States, flagship of the United States Line. Begun in 1921, United States Lines was originally a shipping company. They debuted the USS United States in 1952 as the fastest ocean liner and the boat, although retired to Philadelphia, actually still holds the Blue Riband the award for the fastest transatlantic speed record. The print is signed by the artist.
VINTAGE:Circa 1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 23-1/2" in height by 32-3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wood, canvas, plated brass, metal wire.
ATTACHMENT:Two hooks, wire.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The print has a few very small scuffs and some overall yellowing. The paper backing has come away.
