ARTIFACT:
This is a hardcover copy of "United States Submarine Operations in World War II" by Theodore Roscoe, compiled shortly after the war for the Bureau of Naval Personnel. He drew upon work assembled by the Submarine Force historians and put together over 200 period black and white photographs, as well as many illustrations, maps and charts, along with a several fold-outs. The addenda include statistics on lost boats, citations, missions and enemy vessels sunk. This copy comes with its original dust jacket and was published in 1950 (third edition) by United States Naval Institute at Annapolis, Maryland.
