ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1950's bullion trainman hat badge for the Bulgarian State Railways (BDZ, or Balgarski Darzhavni Zheleznitsi), in operation since 1885. The central device of the badge is the side view of a railroad car wheel.

VINTAGE: Circa 1950's.

SIZE: Approximately 3-1/16" in width and 7/8" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gabardine wool embroidered in bullion thread, paper backing.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a railroad collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. CON-DMM-25-13 LHEX8/13 SLGJX1/15 SLFEX6/15 SLFJX11/15 SLEEX1/16 RET10/16

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The badge has some small moth bites and minor tarnish.
