Description
This is a 1940s-1950s Pittsburgh Railways Company inspector hat badge and agreement booklet for railway employees. Also included is a memorandum dealing with paid holiday time from 1958 addressed to Elmer A. Koch, the presumed original owner of the badge and booklet.
VINTAGE:Circa 1940s-1950s.
SIZE:Badge: approximately 1-1/8" in height and 3-5/16" in width; booklet: approximately 6-1/16" in height and 3-3/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Badge: brass; booklet: paper with oaktag.
ATTACHMENT:Badge: two tacks with folding legs; booklet: stapled binding.
MARKINGS:Badge: HEEREN BROS. & CO. PBG.

CONDITION:7- (Very Fine-): The items have both seen some moderate wear: the badge has wear, particularly on the raised lettering and the back of the booklet has a stain.
