Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a 1946 Zippo lighter engraved in Seoul, Korea for a United States soldier. The lighter shows a tranquil mountainside scene on one side and a fabulous dragon on the other beneath the initials M.E.E. The 1946 Zippo model has a nickel insert and steel three-part hinge.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1946 (Occupation Period).

SIZE:

Approximately 2-3/16" height and 1-1/2" width and " in thickness.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Chrome-plated brass, nickel insert.

ATTACHMENT:

Hinge.

MARKINGS:

ZIPPO MFG. CO. BRADFORD PA. ZIPPO PAT. 2032695 MADE IN U.S.A. on bottom and on insert.
