1944 Wartime United States Navy Chaplain story God on a Battlewagon by Captain James V. Claypool Chaplain Corps, USNR. The front page of the hardcover book is inscribed by the author to a friend or clergy member and reads: "To "Padre" Ralph Robinson with fond regard and sincere friendship - Evanston, ILL. Aug. 17, 1954 James V. Claypool." The book tells the story of the Chaplain's experiences with the US Navy and features a section of images to help illustrate the story.
