ARTIFACT:

This is a 1942 copy of the United States Army (War Department) / US Navy booklet entitled "A Pocket Guide to China". This copy originally belonged to Captain Albert W. Bloom, Major, Field Artillery, U.S. Forces, China Theater (please see the links at the bottom of the page for other items of the Captain). The book gives a brief overview of the culture of the Chinese people. It has some black and white and one-color illustrations, along a few pages of helpful words and phrases translated into English.

VINTAGE:

Published 1942 (World War II).

SIZE:

75 pages; approximately 5-1/4" by 4-1/4".

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Oaktag cover, paper.

ATTACHMENT:

Stapled binding.
