Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a circa 1942 or 1943 United States Navy belt for flare gun ammunition. It has 32 loops in which to carry cartridges. The belt is adjustable and is by the A. L. Siebel Company.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1942 or 1943.

SIZE:

Approximately 37-1/2" in length (adjustable) and 2-3/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Cotton canvas, brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Locking buckle, grommets.

MARKINGS:

USN CARTRIDGE BELT MK 1 A. L. SIEBEL CO., INC. 1942(3?).
