This is a 1940 Pennsylvania Resident Citizen's fishing license celluloid badge.
The badge was made by Whitehead & Hoag of Newark, New jersey and is numbered 227313.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1940.
SIZE:Approximately 1-11/16" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Celluloid-wrapped tin.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal safety-style pin, slot in back plate.
MARKINGS:THE WHITEHEAD & HOAG CO. NEWARK N.J. PAT. number on reverse; union mark on edge.
ITEM NOTES:This is from an old Pennsylvania hunting and fishing license collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. NEX14 LCIX3/14 SCIX12/20
CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The badge has some light wear and two small cracks to the surface.
