Description
Wonderful 1930's WWII Japanese Sake Cup for Mr. Yoshizuka of the 14th Infantry Executive Candidates. The cup displays painted Japanese characters and star details inside cup, outside displays a brass painted rim. The 14th Division Infantry formed as part of the Imperial Japanese Army. The 14th Infantry fought many battles during WWII before collapsing. The final two battles were fought in 1942, the Battle of Peleliu and Battle of Angaur, during each the Division experienced large numbers of casualties and equipment loss, which effectively and completely dismantled the division forever.
