This is a 1930s distinctive insignia for the United States Army 27th Infantry Division. The DI shows the head of a wolf and reads NEC ASPERA TERRENT (frightened by no difficulties).
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 1" in height and 13/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enameled areas.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post with disc backing.
MARKINGS:N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK with maker mark.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The DI shows some light wear and some slight oxidation, and two very small dings to the enamel in the corners.
