This is a 1930s distinctive insignia for the United States 212th Field Artillery Battalion by Robbins. The DI shows the head an shoulders of a Native American man and reads VINCERE EST VIVERE (to conquer is to live).
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/4" in height 15/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:ROBBINS CO. ATTLEBORO.
