This is a 1930s celluloid pilot badge for Rhode Island State Airport. Built in 1931 in Warwick, the airport was the first in the nations to be first state-owned and operated. The badge shows an operating number of 6.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-3/16" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Celluloid-wrapped tin with brass pin.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal safety-style pin.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): Badge shows some light abrasions and moderate wear on reverse.
