1930s Mexican Bowie Knife by Cervantes of Oaxaca with Fish Handle & Nautical Theme

This is a 1930s Mexican knife by Cervantes of Oaxaca. The knife has a great fish as its handle, a nautical theme on one side of the blade, and an engraving on the other side that translates to: I was born with the silver moon and with the soul of a pirate. The leather sheath has a scalloped edge and other detailing. Esto es un cuchillo de MŽxico 1930 por Cervantes de Oaxaca. El cuchillo tiene un gran pez como manejarlo, un tema n‡utico en un lado de la hoja, y un grabado en el otro lado: Yo naci con la luna de plata y naci con alma de pirata.

Circa 1930s.

Approximately 12-1/4" in length and 2-5/8" in width (sheathed). Aproximadamente 12-1/4" de largo y 2-5/8" de ancho (con funda).

Steel, leather. Acero, cuero.
