Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a fantastic circa 1930s Maersk Steamship Lines ash tray advertising their "Far East Service". Maersk is a Danish shipping company that still operates today and is easily identified by its cheery bright blue and white star logo. The ashtray has four gilt-edged resting spots for cigarettes and is in the same colors as the vibrant Maersk logo.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1930s.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-5/8" in height 4-3/8" square.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Painted ceramic.

CONDITION:

8 (Excellent-): The ash tray shows some very small spots of light wear on the logo and a small spot of slight discoloration inside but is in wonderful condition otherwise.
