1930s Leather "Sap" in Unusually Fine Condition

This is an old leather "sap" from the 1930s in unusually fine condition. The leather is still supple and the strap is strong. Inside there is a heavy spring and a lead weight to pack quite a punch. A sap was sometimes carried by authorities and also as a compact personal protection device.

Circa 1930s.

Approximately 1-1/4" in width by 14" in total length.

Leather, heavy spring inside and a lead weight.
