This is an old leather "sap" from the 1930s in unusually fine condition. The leather is still supple and the strap is strong. Inside there is a heavy spring and a lead weight to pack quite a punch. A sap was sometimes carried by authorities and also as a compact personal protection device.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/4" in width by 14" in total length.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Leather, heavy spring inside and a lead weight.
ATTACHMENT:Strap.
