Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a cool old circa 1930s "sap", a lead-loaded self-defense weapon that was reportedly carried by a State of Maine Game Warden. The weapon's body is covered with woven leather, and a stable but delicate lanyard is attached at the non-"business" end. It has a great "look".

VINTAGE:

Circa 1930s.

SIZE:

Approximately 8-3/4" in length and 1-1/4" in diameter (at the "business" end).

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Wood, leather, lead (inside), metal eye hook.

ATTACHMENT:

Lanyard, eye hook.

None.
