This is a circa 1930s ex-chief's lapel badge from the Highlands, New Jersey Fire Department. This is a beautiful little gold-filled badge with enamel details.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-3/8" in height and 1" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-filled brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:S.M. 26 handwritten on reverse.

CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The badge shows only very light wear with minor tarnishing to the reverse only.
