This is a circa 1930s French Army badge for the 28th Mountain Infantry (28° Bataillon de Chasseurs Portés). The badge is a stag perched on a hunting horn labeled 2It has an Arthus Bertrand maker mark on reverse.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-5/16" height and 1-1/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Two loops.
MARKINGS:ARTHUS BERTRAND PARIS.
