ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1930s French Army badge for the 28th Mountain Infantry (28° Bataillon de Chasseurs Portés). The badge is a stag perched on a hunting horn labeled 28. It has an Arthus Bertrand maker mark on reverse.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-5/16" height and 1-1/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Two loops.

MARKINGS: ARTHUS BERTRAND PARIS.

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge shows light wear and tarnish.
