This is a circa 1930s DLRG, or Deutsche Lebens-Rettungs-Gesellschaft e.V. (German Lifeguard Association) bronze level member stick pin. The group was formed in 1913 as a response measure to a tragedy where several people drowned after a pier collapsed in RĂ¼gen. The head of the pin is oval with a vigilant eagle at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately " in height and 15/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Copper-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Straight pin.
