ARTIFACT:

This is a 1930s-1940s sheriff's posse badge from Luna County, New Mexico. The badge shows the seal of the State of New Mexico with an eagle at top and reads A.H. PUTTS SHERIFF'S POSSE LUNA COUNTY N. MEX.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1930s-1940s.

SIZE:

1-9/16" height 1-1/16" width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickel-plated brass with blue enameled details.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.
