1920s-1930s Matson Steamship Line Officer's Visor Hat Badge in Bullion on Original Band

This is a circa 1920s or 1930s officer's visor hat badge on its original badge for Matson Steamship Lines. Established in 1926 with the purchase of Oceanic Steamship Company, Matson ran routes all over the Pacific. The badge is embroidered in bullion and silk threads and shows a blue "M" at the center of a red porthole.

Circa 1920s-1930s.

Badge: approximately 2-3/8" in height and 2-13/16" in width; band is about 24-1/2" in total length.

Wool embroidered in bullion and silk threads, cotton/silk backing, wool band.
