1917 Pittsburgh Training School for Nurses Graduation Pin

This beautiful oval nursing pin is in 14 karat gold and was made by Dieges & Clust. In the center of the pin is a dove carrying a laurel branch and at 3 points around the outside of the pin are the initials H.M.S.H. & D. In a stylized garter around the central image it reads MOUNT PITTSBURGH TRAINING SCHOOL FOR NURSES. Engraved on the reverse of the pin is the name of the original recipient and her year of graduation. It reads: Willa E. Heberline 1917.

14 karat gold with reverse blue enameling.

Horizontal pin-back with "drop in" style locking catch.
