This is a United States Volunteer Life Saving Corps trophy that reads U.S.V.L.S.C. WINTHROP 191The USVLSC existed in fifteen states where there were no federally-run life-saving stations and acted to supplement the U. S. Life Saving Service.
VINTAGE:Circa 1914.
SIZE:Approximately 5-3/8" height and 4-15/16" width and 3-1/4" depth.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silver-plated white metal.
MARKINGS:WM. C. DORRETY 387 WASH'N ST. BOSTON; less legible stamp on bottom reads 1606 QUA(?).

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The trophy shows moderate wear and has a heavy overall tarnish.
