Description
This is a circa 1910s Tarrytown, New York Police Department trustee badge. Tarrytown is a small town on the Hudson River whose township predates the Revolutionary War. The front of the badge is engraved with the original owner's initials. The badge was made by C.G. Braxmar Company of New York City.
VINTAGE:Circa 1910s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-3/4" in height and 1-5/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical kick pin with C catch.
MARKINGS:J.R.L. on front; C.G. Braxmar Co. 10-12 Maiden Lane N.Y. on reverse.
