This is a nice old circa 1910s or 1920s badge from Larchmont, New York Fire Department. Larchmont started out as a summer community for well-to-do New Yorkers and developed into a bedroom community for same by the late 1800s. The badge is in an ornamented cross style and there is a blank rectangle where a number was to be engraved.
VINTAGE:Circa 1910s-1920s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/16" square.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel on nickel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical kick pin with C catch.
MARKINGS:None.
