This is a 1910s New York National Guard Cadet Corps "Knickerbocker Greys" collar badge. The "Knickerbocker Greys" began in 1881 and was a drill group for six- to sixteen-year-old children from privileged families. The badge has an interlocking K and G at its center and is topped by an eagle.
VINTAGE:Circa 1910s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/16" in height and 15/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.
