ARTIFACT: 1910's - 1920's Detroit department of Street Railway, Automotive Division driver badge by S & S Co., Detroit. The center of the octagonal badge is #'d "29711" and surrounding it reads: "DEPT. OF STREET RAILWAYS AUTOMOTIVE DIV. CITY OF DETROIT" in black painted lettering.

VINTAGE: Circa 1910's – 1920's

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/2" x 1-1/2".

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickeled brass, black paint

ATTACHMENT: Vertical kick pin with 'C' type catch

MARKINGS: "SUPERIOR S & S CO. DETROIT"

ITEM NOTES: This is from a street railway collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MBJX16 LAAEX6/16 SAAEX01/19

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The badge shows moderate to heavy wear, much of the plating and some of the painted details remain intact, overall very fine condition.
