ARTIFACT: 1920's-30's Boston Metropolitan (Metro) Transit Authority Street Railway Police Badge #569. The Boston Elevated Railway started replacing rail vehicles with buses in 1922, a process later dubbed "bustitution". The last Middlesex and Boston Street Railway streetcars ran in 1930.

VINTAGE: Circa 1920-30

SIZE: 3 1/16" x 2 2/16"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass and painted numbering.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): Moderate signs of wear, exceptional amount of nickel plating remains along with paint.
