This is a 1920s Boston, Massachusetts Metropolitan Transit Authority Street Railway Police badge numbered 546.

Circa 1920s.

About 2-1/8" in width by 3-1/16" in height.

Nickel-plated brass with black painted numbers.

Vertical pin with a "drop-in" locking catch.
