ARTIFACT: This is a "No. 4" Portsmouth Fire Department annual parade ribbon from the 17th annual parade on September 10, 1903. The geranium-colored ribbon has a bar at top reading M. H. GOODRICH CO. and a separate medallion with the Fire Captain's photograph.

VINTAGE: Circa 1903.

SIZE: 6-3/4" in height and 2-7/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-painted aluminum, photograph, printed paper, celluloid, silk ribbon.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety-style pin on ribbon; rectangular loop on medallion.

MARKINGS: P or B (?).

ITEM NOTES: This is from a fire fighting collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBHX03 LADEX8/10 SGEX10/20

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): Ribbon is still a brilliant color and is in fantastic shape.
