ARTIFACT: This is a Portsmouth Fire Department annual parade ribbon from September 4, 1913. The blue ribbon has a bar at top reading W. J. SAMPSON LADDER NO. 1 and a medallion hanging from a red, white and blue ribbon with a fireman's photograph.

VINTAGE: Circa 1913.

SIZE: 7-7/8" in height and 2-13/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-painted aluminum, celluloid, silk ribbon.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety-style pin.

MARKINGS: Label reads FROM GEO. A. SANFORD CHELSEA, MASS.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a fire fighting collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VBHX03 LADEX8/10

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): Ribbon has moderate wear at bottom and label is folded up.
