This is a Portsmouth Fire Department 15th annual parade ribbon from September 26, 190The lilac-colored ribbon has a bar at top that reads CAPTAIN and a medallion.
VINTAGE:Circa 1901.
SIZE:6-1/2" height and 2-3/4" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-painted aluminum, celluloid, cardboard, printed paper, silk ribbon.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal safety-style pin on reverse of bar; suspension loop between ribbon and medallion.
MARKINGS:RIBBON BADGES FROM GEO. A. SANFORD 23 HAWLEY ST., BOSTON.
