ARTIFACT: This is a Portsmouth Fire Department 15th annual parade ribbon from September 26, 1901. The lilac-colored ribbon has a bar at top that reads CAPTAIN and a medallion.

VINTAGE: Circa 1901.

SIZE: 6-1/2" height and 2-3/4" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-painted aluminum, celluloid, cardboard, printed paper, silk ribbon.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety-style pin on reverse of bar; suspension loop between ribbon and medallion.

MARKINGS: RIBBON BADGES FROM GEO. A. SANFORD 23 HAWLEY ST., BOSTON.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a fire-related collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Ebay VBHX03 LADEX9/10
