ARTIFACT: This is an Engine No. 4 Portsmouth Fire Department annual parade ribbon from the 16th annual parade on September 18, 1902. The light green ribbon has a bar at top reading M. H. GOODRICH NO. 4 and two burnished metallic tassels hanging at bottom.

VINTAGE: Circa 1902.

SIZE: 7-3/4" in height and 2-13/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-painted aluminum, celluloid, silk ribbon, wire tassels.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety-style pin.

MARKINGS: PAT. OCT 18-92 and very last bit of maker's label.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a fire fighting collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VBHX03 LADEX8/10

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): Ribbon has wear at bottom and tarnish on wire tassels.
