ARTIFACT: Nice circa 1900 Abner & Drury porcelain top beer bottle from Maryland agent with ‘Hutter Type’ ‘Lightening’ closure. The brown glass bottle reads: “ABNER & DRURY BREWERS WASHINGTON, D. C. MOHL. LINK & CO. AGENTS BALTO, MD. THIS BOTTLE REGISTERED NOT TO BE SOLD” and the center shows the company’s logo, showing the letters ‘A’ and ‘D’ entwined with an ampersand and surrounding it reads: “PURE MALT AND HOPS” and below: “TRADE MARK REGISTERED”. The porcelain stopper reads: “PAT’D HUTTER FEB. 7 1893”

VINTAGE: Circa 1900

SIZE: Approximately 10” x 2 ½” in diameter at bottom

CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS: Embossed glass, porcelain, steel

ATTACHMENT: Steel Lightening ‘Hutter Type’ Closure with porcelain topper

CONDITION: 6+ (Fine—Very Fine): Bottle shows minor to wear, the ‘Hutter Type’ Closure in steel that shows heavy oxidation.
