This is a heavy 18th century knife, proficient at piercing armor. It is of Indo-Persian origin. The wooden handle has a double groove at center with a short hollowed-out grip. Both sides and the blade have a narrow ridge at center instead of being fullered.
VINTAGE:Circa 18th century.
SIZE:Knife: approximately 9-3/8" in length and 1-1/4" in width (at widest point); blade only: 5-3/4" in length by 1-3/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Steel, wood.
