This is a circa 15th or 16th century armor-piercing dagger or dirk blade. It was excavated in Europe, and could possibly be French, Italian or German. There appears to be faint remnants of a motto in the fullering. The blade is narrow and tapered, and the dagger has a rectangular neck and is fullered on both sides.
Approximately 24" in length and 3/4" in width (at widest part).
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Apparent remnants of a motto in fullering.
This is from an antiques and antiquities collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay KEZAR VEJX12 LBDEX12/12
6- (Fine): The dagger shows some moderate wear and oxidation due to its age and time spent underground.
GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
