ARTIFACT:
This is a circa 1880s or 1890s Winchester Repeating Firearms Company bore reflector in brass, wood and glass. It is marked WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. on one side (the left side, as it would sit in the rifle's breech). The slanted mirror allows the operator to see into the bore. Opposite the open end and behind the angle of the mirror is an intact grooved wooden plug.
VINTAGE:
Circa late 1880s-1890s.
SIZE:
Approximately 1-9/16" by 1-1/16" by 5/8".
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Brass, wood, glass.

Screws.
