This is an early American shooting medal. The front reads PRESENTED TO GEORGE W. PUTNAM FOR THE BEST SHOT AT TARGET FIRING.
VINTAGE:Circa 1839.
SIZE:1-1/2" diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Coin silver.
ATTACHMENT:Link available to attach to chain.
MARKINGS:BY A COMPANY OF YOUNG FRIENDS JUNE 3rd , 1839 engraved on reverse.
