ARTIFACT: Unidentified, unknown silver Society or Organization medal in coin silver. The center displays an open book with the letters: "Y. M. D. S." in the center and surrounding it reads: "FOUNDED NOV. 18th 1881 SEMPER PARATUS" (Always Ready). The pinback bar shows lovely detailed embellishments.

VINTAGE: Circa unknown

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/8" x 1-7/16"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Coin silver

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with come under catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a collection of unidentified items which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Item will not be sold until identified. MFX15 LX9/15

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): Medal shows minor to moderate wear, overall tarnish.
