ARTIFACT:
Unidentified beautiful 1888 date marked British Artillery Regimental medal made in Birmingham. Possibly an Irish Regiment with clover shamrock design. The ornately embellished medal shows a soldier in the center with an artillery cannon in the background. Surrounding the center is an ornate Maltese cross with clover shamrocks between the arms of the cross. The reverse shows a number of date and maker marks, see photo.
