Description
This is a small named circa early 1930s Boy Scouts of America grouping from Troop 44 of Duluth, Minnesota. The grouping includes a 1935 Second Place coin silver medal named to Jack Whiteside for Most Advancing Scout at Camp Lawrie. There is also a small Duluth School Police insignia, as well as Whiteside's tri-fold color oath card in excellent shape and an original "Boys' Life" envelope.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1930's.
SIZE:Medal: approximately 2-1/8" in height x 1-1/4" in width; insignia: 3/4" x 5/8:; oath card: 3-3/4" x 2-3/8" (when folded).
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Medal: coin silver; insignia: plated brass; paper.
ATTACHMENT:Medal: horizontal pin with drop-in locking catch, chains; insignia: single screw post with sleeved disc backing, stabilization post.
MARKINGS:Jack Whiteside 10-31-1933 typed on oath card.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): On the whole everything is in Very Fine-Excellent the medal shows some light wear and medium tarnish.
