ARTIFACT: This is a big, beautiful coin silver third prize medal for the City Guard of an unidentified city. The medal is dated June 20, 1865, and may be a shooting medal. It has some delicate detailing.

VINTAGE: Circa 1865.

SIZE: Approximately 5-3/8" in height and 1-15/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Coin silver, plated brass, silk.

ATTACHMENT: Bar with horizontal T-style pin, suspension loop, ribbon.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an unidentified collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Item will not be sold until it is identified. VEJX09 LX3/12

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The medal shows some light to medium wear, moderate tarnish, some small spots of oxidation and a few small spots of wear to the ribbon.
