This is an unidentified circa 1890s medal, possibly Russian in origin. The medal is a double-headed eagle beneath a crown.
VINTAGE:Circa 1900.
SIZE:Approximately 3-3/4" in height and 1-3/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silver-plated brass (plating has been polished off on front), silk.
ATTACHMENT:Ribbon, horizontal safety-style pin, suspension loop with bar.
MARKINGS:None.
ITEM NOTES:This is from an accumulation of unidentified items which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Item will not be sold until it is identified. VBJX13 LX1/13
CONDITION:6 (Fine+): The medal shows light to medium wear and tarnish. Original silk ribbon is very fragile and is no longer able to support the medal, being split at bottom.
