This is a World War II submarine launch badge for the USS Sawfish SS-276, launched from the Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard on June 23, 194The Sawfish earned eight battle stars for her World War II service.
VINTAGE:Circa 1942.
SIZE:Approximately 1-3/8" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Celluloid-wrapped tin.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal safety-style pin.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge has some light wear; oxidation on pin.
