ARTIFACT:
WWII United States Army Air Forces 55th Bomb Wing, 15th Air Force jacket patch silk-screened on leather. The center of the patch depicts an aircraft in white and a bomb surrounded by ten white stars. As is usually the case with this patch, all the 'gold' details (the bomb and outer border) once colored with brass flakes have turned green.

CONDITION:
7 (Very Fine): The patch shows minor to moderate wear, a crease in the bottom third of the patch, verdigris on the brass flakes, overall very fine condition.
