Description
This is a beautiful United States 457th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force jacket patch by the famous Akron Felt & Chenille Company. The 457th participated in D-Day, the Holland Invasion, the Battle of the Bulge and the Rhine. This patch is embroidered on felt with a dirigible skin backing and reads FAIT ACCOMPLI.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 5-5/16 in height and 4-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Felt embroidered in cotton/silk threads with dirigible skin backing.
MARKINGS:AKRON FELT & CHENILLE CO. 58 1/2 EAST MARKET AKRON, OHIO.
