ARTIFACT: This is a United States Army Air Forces 305th Fighter Squadron, 338th Fighter Group, 3rd Air Force patch. The design is some sort of snake or serpent with a lightning bolt for a tongue.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: About 5"e; in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Cotton embroidery thread on felt.

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn onto garment.

MARKINGS: K-0553 stamped on reverse.
